Center for Power Efficiency and Protection (CENPEEP) is an initiative of NTPC, which is responding to the global concern of increasing greenhouse gas emissions due to human activities showcasing its concern towards environmental protection and continued commitment for sustainable power development in India.
Climate Change - India
Climate Change - India, in view of the emerging need for capacity building of the Indian stakeholders on climate change mitigation issues, USAID/India launched GEP-CCS in April 2000 and The Louis Berger Group; Inc. is implementing the project on behalf of USAID in India. LBG is assisting Indian stakeholders to develop human and institutional capacity to design and implement policies and projects that reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
Council of Energy Efficiency Companies
The Council of Energy Efficiency Companies of India was established by the Alliance to Save Energy and the Conserve Society of India in 1998 to expand markets for energy efficiency products and services. The Council's mission is to promote energy efficiency policies, programs and technologies to create jobs and foster economic growth and environmental improvement throughout India.
Green Business Center
The Green Business Center at Hyderabad is a Center of Excellence in Clean Energy & Environment. The Center is a joint initiative of Confederation of Indian Industry and Government of Andhra Pradesh, with the technical support of USAID. The objective of the GBC is to promote Greenconcepts leading to sustainable development, efficiency and equitable growth. The GBC will strive to become the “Center of Excellence” for Energy, Environment and Climate Change activities in India.
Indian Chamber's
The Indian Chamber's goal in taking up the Energy Efficiency Initiative (E2 i) under the umbrella of the Environment Management Center of the Indian Chamber of Commerce is focused primarily on the issue of promoting energy management as an important tool for increasing the competitiveness of Indian industries.
Nautilus Institute's Energy, Security & Environment Program (NIESEP)
The Nautilus Institute's Energy, Security & Environment Program (NIESEP) analyzes the nexus of energy, security, and environmental issues in Northeast Asia. Based on this analysis policy initiatives are developed. The twin fields of "environmental security" and "energy security," as applied in Northeast Asia, underlie much of the program's work.

Prayas (Initiatives in Health, Energy, Learning and Parenthood) is a non-governmental, non-profit, public charitable trust registered in India. Members of Prayas are professionals working to protect and promote public interest in general and interests of disadvantaged sections of society in particular.
Rainbow Partnership Organizations
Rainbow Partnership Organizations in the seven SAARC countries, guided by their respective Chairmen and Advisory Boards, are responsible for funding and extending the needed support to SAARC governments, NGOs, institutions and individuals from all walks of life, working on IT related projects to promote education and development.
Winrock International India
Winrock International India (WII) is an independent NGO registered under the Indian Societies Act of 1860 based in New Delhi. WII’s main programs are Energy and Environment (E&E), Climate Change, and Natural Resources Management (NRM). These programs are supported by the Outreach unit, which has developed an expertise in publishing and event management. WII is uniquely placed as an Indian NGO-a local organization with global reach-and has networked with important stakeholders over the past few years.
