Program Overview
With support from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) South Asia Regional Initiative for Energy (SARI/Energy) program, delegates from across South Asia attended the Renewable Energy World Conference & Expo in Tampa, Florida, March 7-11, 2011. The conference, attended by over 2,000 U.S. and international participants, included technical tours on green buildings and advanced clean energy research; panel discussions on all renewable energy sectors including wind, solar, biomass, hydro, geothermal, as well as financing, policy developments and smart grid technologies; and abundant networking opportunities at the conference's exhibition hall. Through the SARI/Energy program, the United States Energy Association supported the attendance of 6 delegates from Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka to attend the conference.
